Chris and Kandy, the owners of the Silver Plume General Store, have been married for 32 years. Born and raised in Texas, they have done a little bit of everything. Chris has ran a self-owned general construction business, worked in commercial construction, as well as worked with special needs kids through a vocational program. Kandy has worked in the veterinarian field, education field, and most recently, worked as a correctional clinical associate. Through the years of skiing, hiking, and playing in Colorado, they began to desire living and working in Colorado due to its amazing scenery, activities, and friendly people. Like it was meant to be, the Silver Plume General Store became the focus of a year long journey, culminating in Chris and Kandy taking ownership in June of 2012. In the short time of owning and operating the store, Chris and Kandy have enjoyed meeting many new friends, helping customers, and enjoying the best scenery and activities around.
